IMPORTANT:  Ensure you are familiar with the Washington SFRA (formerly ADIZ) boundaries and procedures.  KHWY is approximately 5 miles southwest of the SFRA.  You do not need to go through the SFRA and you do not need to talk to ATC if you stay out of it and out of all Class B airspace surrounding Washington.  However, all VFR pilots operating within 30 nm of the DCA VOR are now required to take an online course on SFRA operations (http://www.faasafety.gov/gslac/ALC/course_catalog.aspx?categoryId=11) and carry the certificate of completion with them.  This is not difficult and can be accomplished in very little time.

Pre-registration is available online at http://www.iacusn.org/acrs/login.php.  Please pre-register to help us plan for the banquet.  Pre-registering does not obligate you to pay any fees if it turns out you are unable to attend.
